LifeWay Social exists to help Christian leaders of various kinds use digital communications effectively and efficiently for Kingdom good.
The LifeWay Social blog is simply a tool to help us accomplish that goal.
My hope and prayer is that there will be at least one, if not multiple, blog posts every weekday on the LifeWay Social blog in an effort to help inform and equip Christians to use digital communications effectively.
In order to have at least one new piece of content every day, I’m going to need some help. I have a lot of work to do, and while I would love to primarily focus on writing content for the LifeWay Social blog, that simply isn’t possible. So, I have
strongarmed nicely asked some of my super smart friends to occasionally write for this blog. Also, this list will be ever-changing and growing. I have requested some help from others as well, who will be added here when they confirm they can help. Here is who is on board so far:
Chris (that’s me) coaches LifeWay and B&H authors on developing their digital communications strategy. He also manages the blogs and social media of Eric Geiger, Senior Vice President, LifeWay Resources Division and City Church in Murfreesboro, TN. He is a graduate Taylor University and of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He lives outside Nashville with his wife, Susie.
Jonathan serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives at LifeWay Christian Resources as well as the host and producer of Rainer on Leadership, Revitalize & Replant, and SBC This Week. Jonathan writes weekly at ThomRainer.com on topics ranging from social media to websites and church communications.
Marty is the Executive Editor and Marketing Manager of LifeWay Pastors and host of the Pastor Talk podcast at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville. He also serves as the Groups Pastor with Green Hill Church in Mt Juliet, TN.
Kyle is an experienced marketing and communications strategist. He has developed and managed social strategy at an Atlanta-area hospital, a state university, and several churches and ministry organizations. He is the senior integrated digital marketing strategist at LifeWay Christian Resources.
Katie is a born and raised New Jersey girl living in Nashville, Tennessee where she works as a Platform Coordinator for LifeWay. Specializing in creative communications, she is fueled by the Beach Boys, Broadway, and coconut coffee.
Aaron Earls is online editor of Facts & Trends. He is also a freelance writer whose work has appeared at numerous sites, including The Washington Post, World Magazine, and Think Christian. He blogs regularly at The Wardrobe Door.
Chandler is the Brand Manager for LifeWay Leadership. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and is now pursuing his Masters of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves the NBA, C.S Lewis, and good coffee.
Phillip is director of communications at Reformed Theological Seminary and a digital strategy consultant. He oversees branding, print publications, digital marketing and social media for RTS. Prior to this, he served as co-founder and vice president of the Reformed African American Network and content strategist at Desiring God. Phillip and his wife, Jasmine, have one son.
Julie is a digital marketing and social media strategist. She learned the social media skill set while working for an IMB initiative and honed it while running her own blogging business. Julie currently does work for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission and Rainer Ministries. She also writes the “Teens and Tech” column for LifeWay’s Parenting Teens magazine. She lives in Kansas City, MO with her husband and three children.
Rob is the Director of Digital Marketing for The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, NC. He and his wife, Cassie, live in Cary, NC with their two girls, Emma and Audrey.
Sam is the Electronic Marketing Specialist for Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife have one son.
Colby is director of communications at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In this role, his work focuses on media relations, social media, and overall digital strategy. Prior to this, he served on a church staff in Lexington, KY for five years.
Kyle is the New Media Engagement and Promotions Manager for the Columbia Fireflies, a Minor League Baseball team affiliated with the New York Mets. He is a graduate of Indiana University and lives in Columbia, SC.
Lauren serves on staff with the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission in Washington, DC. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and is now pursuing a Master’s degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Chris Martin is the Co-Creator and Chief Content Officer at LifeWay Social as well as a Content Strategist at LifeWay. He and his wife Susie live outside Nashville, TN.
